Poslání společnosti
Společnost poskytuje fórum pro výměnu vědeckých poznatků a názorů všem svým členům z různých oblastí vědy, zabývajících se chováním živočichů. Pohledy z odlišných zorných úhlů totiž mohou obohatit pochopení zákonitostí. Cílem společnosti je také prohlubovat znalosti o chování v oblasti základní i aplikované etologie, podporovat výzkum a jiné zpusoby obohacování věd o chování a problémech chování zvířat hospodářských, zájmových a volně žijících, a podporovat vzájemné sdílení a propagaci poznatků.

CALL FOR SYMPOSIUM PROPOSALS
ECBB 2012, Essen, Germany
The VI-th European Conference on Behavioural Biology will take place in Essen, Germany, from 20 to 22 July 2012. The ECBB is the joint meeting of the European scientific associations focusing on the study of behaviour. Previous meetings were held in Muenster (2002), Groningen (2004), Belfast (2006), Dijon (2008), and Ferrara (2010). The ECBB is to date the largest meeting on behavioural biology in Europe, with more than 400 participants. The Call for Symposium proposals is open. If you are interested in organizing a symposium, please submit a descriptive title, the aims of the symposium and its relevance to behavioural biology, and a tentative list of speakers to the organizing committee (ecbb2012@uni-due.de) by 31 October 2011.
