The society provides a forum for an exchange of scientific knowledge and views to all its members from various branches of science involved in the study of behaviour. Views from different professional backgrounds can enrich our understanding. The aim of the society is to advance behavioural science in basic and applied ethology, encourage research and other contributions to knowledge relating to behaviour but also to behavioural problems in the farm, companion and free-living animals, and to promote communication of this knowledge.

ECBB 2022

ECBB 2022 will take place in Groningen (Netherlands), July 21-24th 2022. 

 

We are pleased to announce that the European Congress for Behavioural Biology (ECBB) will take place in Groningen, Netherlands. The ECBB 2022 meeting will start Thursday, July 21st  and end on Sunday, July 24th 2022. 

 

The conference theme is “All of life is social”. Seven plenary speakers will explore the diverse facets of social behaviours in a wide range of animals, as well as micro-organisms. We will also have parallel sessions for which we will be soon looking for chairs and organisers (Email to follow).

 

More details on the full program will follow soon, but please save the dates.

 

 We plan a physical meeting but will be in close contact with the venue and our local health board to ensure we meet all safety regulations concerning covid-19 - whether still in place, or newly installed.
